Polycab India - Electron Beam Curing Chamber Project, Halol

The Electron Beam Curing Chamber Project at Polycab India's Halol facility is a landmark development in the cable manufacturing industry. This specialized structure is designed to support advanced electron beam curing technology, a critical process that enhances the performance, durability, and reliability of high-grade cables. The chamber plays a vital role in Polycab's commitment to innovation and excellence in electrical solutions.

Construction Excellence

The project was executed using modern formwork systems, ensuring precision, safety, and superior structural quality. Every aspect of the construction was meticulously planned and implemented to meet the highest industry standards.

Key Construction Highlights

To ensure high-quality execution, the following key machinery and tools were utilized:

  • Precision in Line and Levels: Achieved using laser leveling machines, ensuring 100% accuracy throughout the structure.

  • Zero Tolerance in Wall Dimensions: Wall thicknesses ranging from 800mm to 1600mm were maintained with absolute precision using latest shuttering materials.

  • High-Grade Concrete: Temperature-controlled concrete was used, incorporating ice in the RMC mix to enhance strength and minimize hydration and thermal cracking.

  • Structure: No horizontal construction joints were permitted, ensuring seamless structural integrity.

  • SS Pipe Placement: Accurate positioning of stainless steel pipes was critical and executed with high precision to support the curing process.

Major Machinery & Systems Used

To meet the technical demands of the project, the following key equipment was deployed:

  • Schwing Stetter Boom Pump - For efficient and high-reach concrete placement.

  • HANDSET Alpha Panel Formwork - Providing flexibility and accuracy in forming complex structural components.
